Many massage therapists observe the effects of trauma among clients but there is little opportunity to consider the consequences of our therapeutic interactions with these individuals. This 2-day interactive seminar covers an introduction to trauma and trauma-informed care, psychoneuroimmunological reactions to trauma, essentials of self-care, responsible assessment and treatment options as well as creating effective closure. It provides a combination of lecture, large and small group discussion and problem-solving that helps participants learn fundamental concepts about trauma and PTSD. The Tradeshow will be taking place on Saturday, September 16th, 2023, from 10am – 6pm. Our Tradeshow is open to all therapists regardless of Association affiliation, and we are expecting between 150-200 attendees on Saturday for the Conference itself, however we expect attendance to be higher for the Tradeshow.
